Dialogue

This project took me a long time to do, but I think overall it turned out well. My project was difficult, especially because it was difficult to decide what the character should do. I chose to create my own character, who is supposed to just be a popular girl. I think she is a cute character who fits the dialogue well. Dialogue was a challenge to do and get the timing right, but I think in the end I mostly got it.

Walk Cycle

This assignment was a fun one to do, I enjoyed doing the walk cycle but it was very tedious. I also kept getting the proportions wrong on my character so I had to fix that a lot. I think overall it was a very interesting project to do, and I had fun working with an original character, even though it was a pretty generic looking guy. This project took a long time, but once I got the characters proportions right it was pretty straightforward to complete.

Weight Project

This project was a fun one to do, it was a little difficult but I enjoyed it. I decided to do my project with the character Bubble from the Powerpuff Girls  because I thought it would be fun to incorporate her flying powers and she was one of my favorite cartoon characters as a kid. I liked drawing the dog as well, I thought it came out pretty good and I used my own dog as a reference which was fun. I like this project because I think it is obvious which character it is and I think it came out pretty well.

Head Turn

For this animation project, I created Shaggy from Scooby Doo . This project was fun but it took a really long time for me to complete. It was difficult trying to draw Shaggy because his head shape is abnormal and it was hard to find reference pictures because there are so many different versions of him from all the remakes of the show. I used the original version of him because it was the simplest version I could find, but I still had some trouble working with it. I picked Shaggy because Scooby Doo  was one of my favorite shows growing up and he was definitely my favorite character. I think I could've done more to make the animation better, but by the end it was difficult to be motivated to work on it. I had already spent a long time on it and I was ready to move on to the next project. Despite this, I am still pretty happy with the end result.

Flour Sack Action

I chose to work on creating a flour sack diving into a pool. It was difficult because the limbs are so short, which makes it hard to make them move. Originally, I tried to have the flour sack crawl across the board before jumping off. But I realized that drawing a flour sack crawling was very difficult and I didn't have the time to do it, so I ended up shortening the animation to being just the jump.
